How a weird looking kart can help children cope with trauma

12 months ago parts of Australia were ravaged by bushfires causing damage and heartache for hundreds of communities. The following year has been one many would rather forget, but also serves as a reminder of how resilient Aussies can be.

These communities are now in a stage of regrowth and rebuilding and so are their children. Kids can be amazingly resilient and should never be forgotten as part of a rebuilding phase. So earlier in the year, non -profit Playground Ideas, working with their major funder, Moose Toys, donated six Nüdel Karts to children in bushfire affected communities.

What is a Nüdel Kart you might ask? A Nüdel Kart is a mobile play and learning space, a kart that explodes into more than 200 different research backed loose parts, that children can explore and experiment with, in millions of different ways.

In an epic 10 day road trip, Playground Ideas will deliver these karts and workshops to primary schools and kindergartens in five regional communities.

“The team at Moose Toys is incredibly proud that we were able to provide the funding for this innovative product,” Said Belinda Gruebner, EVP of Global Marketing at Moose.

“Our mission is to make children Superhappy and through our partnership with Playground Ideas we have been able to positively impact kids in these communities affected by the bushfires. We cannot wait to see the smiles on their faces when the Nudel Kart’s arrive.”
