Feel The Magic
Sadly, 1 in 20 Aussie kids experience the death of their Mum or Dad before they turn 18. Feel the Magic is an amazing organisation that supports the families left behind, by providing free camps, resources and strategies to prepare kids for living with grief.
Feel the Magic is an Australian charity providing early intervention grief education programs for kids aged 7 to 17, who are experiencing pain and isolation due to the death of a parent, guardian, or sibling. Our aim is to create a world where grieving kids and their families feel supported, empowered, and can begin to move forward with their lives.
Feel the Magic offers a range of face-to-face and virtual programs and a Grief Resource Hub (for online resources) and all programs are free to families to participate or access. The range of programs aims to address the needs of children and families to face, feel and deal with their grief. It is not an easy societal challenge to tackle and often one many people avoid due to the discomfort of the conversation.
“Not a single one of us would choose the heartache that grief brings, but surrounding
yourself with a family of people who “get it” on so many different levels has been a
blessing… that is what Camp Magic has given us… a family.”
