The Wave Project
Moose Happy Kids Foundation loves to support grass roots organisations that our team are passionate about. When our UK office told us about The Wave Project, we understood instantly the unique impact this mighty group was having on young people throughout the UK.
The Wave Project harness the power of the ocean to improve the mental health of children and young people with programs including Surf Therapy, Surf Club, Adaptive Therapy and more.
They support children and young people who experience a range of physical and mental health issues, social deprivation, or social isolation.
Young people attending the courses are supported through surfing to build confidence and self-esteem, develop resilience, and make friends.
It is truly grassroots and is driven by more than 6000 volunteers. The Moose team is playing an active role, with many team members giving up their own time to volunteer in the program.
